It’s finally here! Facebook email is in its early Beta stages but at least we are closer than ever to using one service for multiple apps. There is a new signup page on Facebook where you can request the new messaging service that looks like the pic below.

It has been revealed that Facebook has acquired the Fb.com domain. This news comes just days before it is set to reveal an overhauled version of Messages that works like e-mail.

A recent report from All Facebook says that Facebook is using Fb.com internally, but doesn’t quite know what Facebook intends to do with it. TechCrunch claims that the company’s Messages overhaul will  the use the Facebook.com domain for user e-mail accounts.

Man Jailed For Posting Ex’s Nude Photo On Facebook Login

A judge in Wellington, New Zealand, made legal history when he sentenced a 20-year-old man to four months in jail after he posted naked pictures of his ex-girlfriend on Facebook Login.

Jorge Cino reports:

Joshua Simon Ashby, 20, broke up with his girlfriend of five months and did what any rational person would do: he texted her “I’m going to kill you” and “Dead b…” and then posted naked pictures of her on her FB profile. The pictures were at first only visible to her 300 friends, but then they went public for all 500 million users to appreciate. Facebook (and the police) took them down 12 hours later.

Fed’s Say Your Facebook Posts Are Protected by Free Speech

A federal agency declared this week Facebook posts are legally protected speech, even for employees who write negative things about their employers.

The National Labor Relations Board said in a recent lawsuit that the termination of employee Dawnmarie Souza, who used some vulgar language to deride her boss on Facebook when he denied one of her requests, was unlawful.

The British Monarchy Joins Facebook

The British Monarchy officially joined Monday morning. Those who “Like” the Page will be able to receive updates about the Royal Family’s doings through their Facebook News Feed.

Firefox Adds Facebook Like Button To New Browser Extensions

Mozilla’s Firefox has a new extension called F1 which allows you to share links from any website to your Facebook wall from within your browser. Sounds cool and I can’t wait to try it out.
